Emeryville and Berkeley share 7+ miles of the Bay Trail, which has amazing views of the area. And on good days visitors will be greeted with lots of shore birds along the trail and marshy areas.
The surfbird looked very much at home on the slippery rocks with crashing waves.
The Ghost Ship was created by local artist Chris Edwards to memorialize those who died in the Ghost Ship warehouse fire in 2016. Sadly, Chris passed away in 2017 but volunteers and donors have worked to restore and keep the memorial afloat.
