I’ve decided to start a new project, to capture photos of 200+ species of birds in Northern California. The inspiration came from this Great Blue Heron, hanging out in Crissy Field.
As I learned more about birds and their vast migrations, the question, “What is this bird doing in my neighborhood,” eventually turned into, “What am I doing in their neighborhoods?”
To help me on this quest, I welcomed the delivery of another member to the growing lens family weighing 6 pounds 6 ounces and 10.5 inches in length. Off I go!
Bird Facts: Great Blue Herons are the largest herons in North America. Fish make up most of their diet and if you’re lucky, you can watch them spear fish with their dagger-like bill.
