Birding Walk

I joined the San Francisco Audubon Society on their monthly bird walk.  The society’s mission is to conserve and restore natural ecosystems, focusing on birds, other wildlife, and their habitats for the benefit of humanity and the earth’s biological diversity.

So what’s a bird walk?  It’s a group of birders who go on a walk to appreciate birds and the habitat.  With the number of binoculars, telescopes, and cameras, it can sometimes go like this…

Traveling with a good guide and group can help learn about bird behaviors, plants, and sounds.  All you need is a pair of binoculars and an interest to explore.
